.His interview on ESPN Sunday morning made a stir http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-janoris-jenkins-jersey , he dropped a pass on fourth down, botched a punt return that turned into a Panthers touchdown, threw a touchdown pass to Saquon Barkley, caught a touchdown and caught eight passes for 131 yards in the team’s 33-31 loss. After that game came to an end, Beckham was asked about the interview that kicked the day off.Beckham said he was “trying to be a leader” when he said that he thinks the Giants have lacked heart and energy this season and disputed a report that he apologized to the team for saying it on Saturday night. He did speak to the team, however, and said he is “proud of where we went today.”“I don’t regret anything that I said,” Beckham said, via NJ.com. “If it took that for us to come together as a team Color Rush Riley Dixon Jersey , like we did today, I can take that every single time. I kind of spoke to the team, just to relay the message that sometimes stuff comes off the wrong way. Words can be portrayed in any kind of light. … The words were between us. But, we came up short. But, I’m proud of this team. He said that he’s had a conversation with Manning as well, but did not share any of the details.Head coach Pat Shurmur also addressed Beckham’s comments after the game and declared the issue “finito” because it had been dealt with in the locker room.Monday Night Football: Chiefs vs. Broncos — game time, TV channels, odds, live stream, radio Youth Sterling Shepard Jersey , more Happy Monday, New York Giants fans. update: General manager John Lynch told 49ers beat writers the team has inquired about Josh Gordon and is doing their due diligence on him. The Browns announced plans to release Gordon on Monday http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-joe-staley-jersey , and have until 1 p.m. PT Monday to make it official. That gives the 49ers up to 24 hours to figure out their options. The Cleveland Browns announced on Saturday that they plan to release wide receiver Josh Gordon on Monday, likely with the hopes of generating trade interest before then. “A few teams” have inquired with the Browns, per Pro Football Talk, but there is no word on who they are. However, Gordon would be interested in playing for the San Francisco 49ers or Dallas Cowboys, NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport. If the Browns get even a conditional late round pick, that might be enough to unload Gordon before they release him. They control his rights for now, but because he is a vested veteran, he would not have to go through waivers if released. Thus, if released, he would have his choice of any of the other teams.Of course, just because Gordon is interested in a given team does not mean it will happen. It takes two to get a deal done, and we don’t know yet if the 49ers have interest in bringing Gordon over. Kyle Shanahan was Cleveland’s offensive coordinator in 2014 — a season in which Gordon was suspended the first ten games http://www.49erscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-pierre-garcon-jersey , he 24 passes for 303 yards in five games, and then was suspended the final game for violating a team rule.Gordon’s peak saw him catch 87 passes for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013. In the five years since then, he’s played in 11 total games, including none in 2015 and 2016. He has natural talent, but with that much missed time, it’s safe to say he’s probably not the receiver he was in 2013.That’s not to say he isn’t an upgrade for a lot of teams, but the 49ers could decide there are just too many questions and they want to see what their own group can do. Marquise Goodwin is out with a thigh bruise, but Dante Pettis is getting the opportunity in his place. Given how much time Gordon has missed over the past five years, it’s hard to say whether or not he’s an upgrade. My guess is he would be a solid addition from a pure talent perspective, but even if that’s the case, nobody knows if he will stay on the field. Any team considering trading for or signing him will need to factor that into the equation.Golden Nuggets: Game Day in Arrowhead Good morning folks (and good afternoon to our friends much further East), 49ers football is back for their third game of the season today! The young 1-1 team travels to Kansas City to face the offensively-potent Chiefs Cheap Solomon Thomas Jersey , led by second year quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Not surprisingly, he’s put up record numbers in his first two starts of the season, completing nearly 70% of his passes, including 10 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He’s aided by an embarrassment of riches in the speed department thanks to RB Kareem Hunt and WR Tyreek Hill, as well as reliable targets in TE Travis Kelce and WR Sammy Watkins. There’s no doubt that the 49ers defense will have their hands full today with this high octane offense. Robert Saleh’s unit has largely limped out of the gate, playing the kind of uninspiring ball that doesn’t match up to the amount of talent that currently exists. While CB Richard Sherman has been a pleasant surprise in his return, the secondary as a whole has been generally unimpressive, despite the mounting evidence leading into the season that this unit could be one of the strengths of the team. In fact, standout safeties Jaquiski Tartt and Adrian Colbert have been something of a let down through two games, and CB Ahkello Witherspoon’s play last week was so poor that it necessitated his benching in the fourth quarter. The pass rush, as expected, has been abysmal outside of defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, who has been an absolute terror from the interior of the defensive line. While there’s no light at the end of the proverbial tunnel for that issue as of yet 49ers Jaquiski Tartt Jersey , the defense will see the long-awaited return of linebacker Reuben Foster. The versatile and elite-when-available defender will slot in alongside rookie phenom Fred Warner to create, what should be, an extremely efficient defensive core, that should ideally elevate all phases of the defense. As it currently stands, however, Tartt may not take the field due to an injury sustained last week - which only makes Foster’s return that much more important in the short & intermediate coverage game, as well as run support.Offensively, the 49ers have some serious work to do. Luckily, what was recently an impressive defense in Kansas City has become an inefficient and inviting matchup this season. Unfortunately, however, there remains the ugly truth that the Chiefs are going to hang a ton of points up this week (and probably every other week), and it’ll be up to the 49ers offense to keep this game competitive. .When the Texans beat the Cowboys in overtime Sunday night Cheap Customized Washington Redskins Jerseys , that brought the entire slate of Week 5 games to a close — except for the Washington - New Orleans contest, which will be played on Monday Night Football.Without stepping on the field for two weeks, the Redskins have moved up in the divisional and conference standings.Sign up for FanPulse, our weekly Redskins survey. At the end of Week 3, when the Redskins beat the Packers, the Eagles were 2-1 and ranked first in the NFC East, and the Cowboys and Giants were both 1-2.It was so early in the season that nearly anything was possible. In the 6 games our division rivals have played over the past two weeks, they have gone 1-5, with the lone win being the Cowboys’ victory over the Lions, who went into the game 1-2.The five losses came against the Titans, Saints, Panthers, Vikings and Texans, who today sit at a combined 13-9-1.Getting lots of helpIt’s hard to imagine how Sunday could have gone any better for the Redskins. The team is in the division lead at the moment, but in a 16-game season there are a lot of ups and downs.Washington wants to be in the best position, not only to win the division, but to get a wildcard spot if they need to.In addition to all 3 divisional rivals losing, the Redskins ability to secure a wildcard spot at the end of the season was helped along by game results. The undefeated Rams, who will likely be the NFC’s top seed no matter what, handed a conference loss to the Seahawks, dropping them to 2-3, while the Lions took care of business with the Packers Alex Smith Jersey Elite , dropping Green Bay to 2-2-1.Opportunity and riskAt the close of play on Sunday, not only did the 2-1 Redskins have a full one-game lead on the 2-3 Eagles and Cowboys for the division title, but Washington is sitting all alone in the 5th position in the conference, with a great opportunity available on Monday night — though opportunity is always accompanied by risk.If the Redskins beat the Saints on Monday night, these good things will all happen:The Redskins resulting 3-1 record would increase the lead in the division to 1.5 games. The ‘Skins would vault into a tie for 2nd place in the conference with the Bears and Panthers. The Redskins would earn a potentially critical tiebreaker against the Saints, which could matter in playoff seedings or wildcard calculations at the end of the season. The Redskins would put up an important win against a quality opponent on prime time television, something the Redskins haven’t done often enough in the past.By contrast, a loss to the Saints would see the 2-2 Redskins’ division lead drop to a half-game, they would fall into a tie with Tampa Bay for 5th/6th seeding in the conference, they would lose position relative to the Saints for any end-of-season playoff seeding or wildcard spot, and suffer yet another loss on Monday Night Football. In a sense, because the Redskins are in a strong position in the division and the conference at the moment, the stakes are much higher than they would have been ifthe team was buried in the middle of the standings. The Redskins-Saints rivalryFortunately, history gives the Redskins a lot of hope for showing up and taking care of business on Monday night. The Redskins lead the overall series with New Orleans 17-9 in a rivalry that dates back to 1967.But this isn’ta cherry-picked stat that requires wins from the 1970s to favor the Redskins.Washington is 4-2 in its last 6 games against the Saints, with both losses coming in overtime. The Redskins are actually 4-1 in the last 5 games played in the Mercedez-Benz Superdome, with the lone loss being last year’s Week 11 game in which the Redskins had a 2-touchdown lead with less than 7 minutes remaining, but ended up losing in overtime. In short, the Redskins have historically played well against the Saints and in the Superdome.Incidentally, Jay Gruden is 2-2 in games after the bye, with the two victories coming in ‘16 and ‘17.Monday Night FootballThe huge monkey on the back of the Washington Redskins franchise is the team’s consistent failure to win on Monday nights, a trend which has continued in the Jay Gruden era.Last season the Redskins lost to Kansas City on MNF in Week 5 in the game that featured the famous Doctson non-drop.The key turning point in that game seemed to come when Josh Norman was lost to a rib injury. The other loss came against the Eagles, on the road in Philadelphia in Week 8.In 2016 http://www.washingtonredskinsteamonline.com/alex-smith-jersey , the Redskins also lost twice on Monday night, starting the season with a home-opening beatdown at the hands of the Steelers, and going on to lose at home to the Panthers late in season. In 2015, the eventual division champion Redskins lost at home, 19-16 to the Dallas Cowboys.Only in 2014 has Jay Gruden’s team found any success on Monday night. After losing to Seattle at the beginning of October, the Redskins managed to get a road win against Dallas at the end of the month, getting their lone Gruden-era MNF win, 20-17 behind 299 passing yards and one rushing touchdown from Colt McCoy.That win was so long ago, that Desean Jackson amassed 136 receiving yards while Alfred Morris, Roy Helu and Silas Redd all got carries at the RB position in that game.In short, if the Redskins are going to take advantage of the huge opportunity that sits in front of them, they will have to break the long history of failure under the bright Monday night lights.Execution matters more than historyThe ghost of past prime time failures won’t matter nearly as much as the team’s ability to execute on the field.Everyone knows how dangerous the Saints offense, led by future Hall of Famer Drew Brees, is.Everyone knows that Mark Ingram rejoins his team this week, after serving a suspension for the first four weeks.Ingram and Kamara may be the most dangerous running back duo in the NFL.But the Redskins have some pedigree of their own.Led by the DHogs — Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, Matt Ioaniddis — the Redskins bring the league’s top ranked defense, which is also #1 against the pass, to New Orleans.Allowing just 278 yards per game overall, and just 187 ypg passing, the Redskins have blanketed opponents’ ability to move the ball through the air, and have also been pretty good against the run Authentic Matt Ioannidis Jersey , giving up 90 yards per game on the ground — 6th best in the league.Of course, yards don’t win games, points do.The Redskins have the top-ranked scoring defense, giving up 14.7 points per game — one of only six teams in the league to hold its opponents to less than 20 ppg. The Redskins rank 3rd in the NFC in point differential at +20, meaning that — while the offense hasn’t lit the world on fire, the team as a whole has managed to be about a touchdown better than their opponents over the first month of the season. To beat the Saints this week, the Redskins are going to need their top ranked defense to shut down one of the best running back pairs in football, and a QB who, literally, by the end of the game, will almost certainly be the most prolific passer in the history of the league. But the Redskins should have the horses to do it.In addition to the DHogs, the Redskins have a good OLB unit, featuring Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith, and a young but talented cornerback group, led by one of the NFL’s best in Josh Norman.Although Zach Brown has looked a bit off, suffering all season long from an oblique injury, Mason Foster has stepped up and played like a man on a mission. At safety, DJ Swearinger has brought his usual passion and mouth, and backed it up with some flashy play.On the other side of the ball, the Redskin offensive attack has been led by Adrian Peterson, who is 5th in the league in yards per game, and tied for 2nd in the league for rushing touchdowns per game Matt Ioannidis Jersey Elite , having crossed the goal line 3 times in 3 games.Alex Smith, meanwhile, has the 7th best QBR among signal callers with at least 10 passing attempts.Jordan Reed is 6th in the NFL among tight ends in receiving yards per game, while Chris Thompson is ranked 5th among running backs. The only real concern seems to be at the wide receiver position, where Doctson, Crowder and Richardson seem to be struggling to establish themselves in the pass game.Even that could change on Monday night. The Saints currently rank 30th against the pass, giving up 311 receiving yards per game to the Bucs, Browns, Falcons and Giants, who combine for a 6-12-1 record on the season. While TB leads the league in passing, and Atlanta is in the top-10, the Browns and Giants both rank in the bottom half of the league in passing, which indicates that the Redskins 20th rated passing attack should be able to find enough success against the porous Saints defense to allow the running backs and defense to lead Washington to a road win on Monday Night Football. There’s a great opportunity available for the Redskins in Week 5; the rewards for a win tonight are huge. The Redskins have the league’s highest rated defense for total yards per game, passing yards per game and points per game, along with two of the best running backs in the league in rushing and receiving, and a quarterback who is 71-32-1 since 2011.Playing with three different teams, Alex is averaging 11 wins and 5 losses per 16 games. The Redskins have put together a team that can win a huge game on the road on Monday night. Now is the time to do it. Early in the week, Washington was passing out nametags for its new offensive line.Sunday, that line played well enough to win an NFL game, even if it was against one of the worst defenses in the league. They were forced to adjust without three starters, as guards Shawn Lauvao (torn ACL) and Brandon Scherff (pectoral) are out for the season and left tackle Trent Williams is recovering from thumb surgery. So they went into the game with聽Ty Nsekhe at left tackle, just-signed Jonathan Cooper at left guard http://www.washingtonredskinsteamonline.com/matthew-ioannidis-jersey , Chase Roullier at center, Tony Bergstrom at right guard and Morgan Moses at right tackle. Alex Smith was sacked three times, but they ran for 116 yards to beat the Buccaneers.鈥淭hey held up pretty good,鈥?coach Jay Gruden said, via Matthew Paras of the Washington Times. 鈥淚t has a little bit of an effect when you鈥檙e putting the game plan together, you think you鈥檒l be fine, but on game day when you look at [defensive tackle Gerald] McCoy and look at some of the pass rushers that they have, it has a little bit of an effect on making sure Alex is protected, so we were probably a little conservative early.鈥淔or the most part, I think we started airing out a little bit more as the game went on. I can鈥檛 say enough about what Jonathan Cooper did coming in here and playing after only about three or four days of learning.鈥滳ooper was flying back to Arizona last Sunday, but came back across country when injuries hit, and was plugged into his new team out of necessity.鈥淭he big thing for offensive linemen is definitely there aren鈥檛 prima donnas on the offensive line,鈥?Cooper said. 鈥淲e came right in and everybody got along. I think that鈥檚 the biggest thing: We were all able to come right in and just plug and play honestly.鈥滺e makes it sound so easy, though Gruden said during the week the staff was trying to teach Cooper聽鈥淥TAs, training camp and seven weeks, eight weeks of football in a day or two.鈥滺e learned it well enough to pass the first test, and keep them on their unexpected perch atop the NFC East. In the parlance of one of our newest voices on the site, Kevin Ricca, we have entered prime butt-clenching season. There is nothing on the line yet that gets represented in the win-loss column, and stats for real and fantasy purposes don’t count for another month. I know we all fancy ourselves as expert analysts www.redskinsauthorizedshops.com , so digesting one-on-one drills to determine “how far along” players and schemes makes for a month of exhaustive debate. Don’t get me wrong—I will filibuster for days on what it means when I see Alex Smith dropping bombs on Josh Doctson deep down the field. I will wax philosophic on linemen drills like it’s nobody’s business. Still...the number one item on the news menu every single day between now and September is injury updates. That’s it.Was it always this way? I ask the question because I know some of you are in the same boat as our recent guest, Kevin Hogan. You have grown up in the big money, staggering contracts, free agency buffet era. Some of us (kind of me, but also not really me) recall a time when this wasn’t necessarily the case. Injuries are nothing new of course. Football is a violent and dangerous sport, but a few CBA’s ago, the injury news didn’t feel this intense. If you’re out there and think this is wrong, please tell us. I remember Joe Gibbs seeming to have an extra 50 players stashed all over the place, so the roster limits and rules have certainly played a part in the way that injuries impact your team. In the small town where I grew up, they hadn’t even run cable everywhere yet, so network news received by over-the-air antennas is really my earliest memory of following the Redskins. There was a nice staggering between NBC Washington Redskins Womens T-Shirt , ABC and CBS (the Fox network wasn’t even founded until 1986) so you could flip around and get all the camp updates from guys like Glen Brenner, Tim Brant and George Michael (to be fair...I was really young for this!). While I am sure there were bad news days, mostly I just recall joint practices/scrimmages with the Pittsburgh Steelers and updates on top draft picks. For those of you who are at least a little older than me, were you living in fear during the day, hoping that it wouldn’t be bad news that night, or was it just kind of a tiny portion of the daily sports report, without the high drama and clenching?Tim gets a little uncomfortable when the conversation harps too much on the clenching, and therefore so do many of you, but you get the point. There is this odd feeling that every day without an injury is a day where you kind of dodged something. I guess it might also be something unique to those of us who care so much about football and the Redskins specifically. We understand very well what it means when we see the letters A, C and L.There is a bright and shiny side of the coin here though: some smaller injuries could actually keep a player off the field as a precaution, saving him for the fall. In the case of Da’Ron Payne Washington Redskins Hats , his ankle injury is nothing to sneeze at, as it could easily turn into a nagging nightmare. It could also heal fully with some rest, and I am not seeing much of anything out there that suggests our mountain of a nose tackle won’t be ready for the Cardinals. In my opinion, I read the Payne news as, “Take two to three weeks off of worrying about Payne news.” See? We’re boldly hoping already!Focusing for a moment on themes we have been covering leading up to training camp, I know I am joined by the rest of you in being excited to see Jordan Reed healthy. As much fun as Alex Smith would have divvying up targets between Josh Doctson, Jamison Crowder, Paul Richardson, Chris Thompson, Derrius Guice and Vernon Davis, when you add in a Jordan Reed Washington Redskins Womens Hoodie , things are just plain different. The trick of course will be how Jay Gruden keeps him both involved yet fresh in the weeks ahead. Is there a player other than Reed that you would be completely fine with seeing in street clothes until week one? (You will potentially be shocked at how emotional of a debate this becomes.) Would anyone out there understand why I am nicknaming Jordan Reed “Sgt. Hulka” or is that movie reference too obscure? (We’re talking Bill Murray here, people.)Let’s spend the last point here on a conversation-starter in the rarified air of preseason NFL trades. One thing I have been harping on leading up to this preseason is the fact that the talent in the middle and bottom of our roster is such that we have players right now in burgundy and gold that will almost certainly be playing for someone else this season. This is in stark contrast to the days when the Redskins marked the terminal stop for many players. If you got cut from the Redskins in years past, you were probably not expecting any other team to want you. If it is true we have guys who belong in the league that might not make our roster, should we be getting aggressive with trying to make a trade? I am certain plenty of other franchises feel the same way about their teams, and there are still some solid veterans that remain unsigned. Still, for a moment, let’s pretend the Redskins are getting calls about...who? Who would be willing to move and what are you looking for? Are you willing to try and go blockbuster-style, or are you just thinking an extra 5th or 6th rounder in the pocket would be pretty damn good?P.S. I am still getting used to seeing #10 on the field.  If you were disappointed with Jimmy Garoppolo’s performance in game one against the Viking’s elite defense Youth Weston Richburg Jersey , well, Lions fans were disgusted with Matt Stafford’s effort against the somewhat-less-impressive New York Jets. At Pride of Detroit, Jeremy Reisman wrote that:Stafford had four interceptions, and it was far from the first time that has happened. Since he entered the league in 2009, he leads all quarterbacks with five games of four interception each. And he had Calvin Johnson to throw to for most of that time. This brings up a long-running debate: does Stafford fold under pressure? It matters because he can expect to face a lot of pressure Sunday, against a 49ers pass rush finding its stride and facing a Lions offense with no discernible running game and a shaky offensive line. Lions starting right guard T.J. Lang is confirmed out, injured, so the newly effective front line of DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead and Solomon Thomas will be facing the likes of rookie center Frank Ragnow and marginal veteran guard Kenny Wiggins, who wasn’t even good in the preseason.Stafford has faced accusations of folding under pressure since 2012, when Chicago Bears safety Major Wright said:In 2015, he was benched in the second half against Arizona after throwing his third interception of the night, and Neil Greenberg of the Washington Post wrote that:Later that year, the Lions brought in offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, who put in a quick- (and short-) passing offense that limited Stafford turnovers as well as his big plays. Not a mark of great confidence.Of course there are some hometown voices who are more positive. Last year, Ty Schalter of LionsWire emphasized the fact that that in 2017, “Pro Football Focus charted him No. 3 in yards thrown under pressure.” This is true, but notice that Schalter’s not quoting passer rating under pressure, just total yards. What this statistic is really telling you is that Stafford was under pressure all the time last year, because their offensive line was terrible.A more nuanced take comes directly from PFF, in their Lions preview this year. While they were optimistic about Detroit’s off-season investment in the OL — which hasn’t paid off so far due to injury and the talented Ragnow’s lack of experience — they broke down Stafford’s numbers this way.Their basic point is that, at this point in his career, Stafford isn’t bad under pressure. What he is, is great when he’s NOT under pressure Cheap Fred Warner Jersey , and mediocre when he’s sweating. I’ve bolded the key parts of this paragraph:There aren’t many quarterbacks who don’t decline when under pressure. Jimmy G might be one of them, but Matt Stafford is definitely not. As long as Robert Saleh and new pass rush coach Chris Kiffin can continue their success in game one, the Niners defense should give Stafford a lot of problems on Sunday.Breaking down the 49ers’ defensive line success against the Vikings Before the San Francisco 49ers took the field on Sunday, if a fortune teller told me that San Francisco would hold the Minnesota Vikings to 17 offensive points, hold quarterback Kirk Cousins to 244 passing yards, and rack up three sacks, I would have thought that Kyle Shanahan’s squad comes out of the weekend 1-0.Instead, dropped passes, ill-timed interceptions, and missed opportunities were key factors in an opening week loss in Minnesota. While moral victories don’t appear in the standings on Monday morning, they certainly can encourage a young team. The defensive line’s performance on Sunday should be one of the bright spots that encourage the 49ers’ defensive coaching staff heading into Week 2.Let’s take a look at what former first-rounders DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead, and Solomon Thomas were able to accomplish in Minnesota. Per Pro Football Focus, Armstead graded out the highest among the three, finishing with a 72.7, after playing in 59 of the 71 snaps. Armstead played solid run defense, but was less effective as a pass rusher. Buckner finished a close second, at 70.1, but graded relatively the same in run defense and pass rush. Thomas ranked among the worst on defense, with a 48.5 overall grade.Let’s flip over to the film, to see what made Armstead and Buckner successful. In the second play of the game, the Vikings hand off the ball to running back Dalvin Cook, who’s immediately met by lineman Solomon Thomas and Buckner for a loss of two yards. The 49ers’ studs are lined up on the right side, immediately release from their blocks and stop Cook in his tracks.Later on the same drive Youth Brock Coyle Jersey , Buckner gets his first sack of the season, easily blowing by the Vikings’ left guard and taking down Cousins. This was one of the quickest sacks during opening weekend, per NFL’s Next Gen Stats. In this next clip, Buckner’s high motor is on full display. The ex-Oregon lineman rushes up the field, stops, runs back to make the tackle on Cook for a six-yard loss. Defensive Player of the Year, anyone? In the first game of the season, Buckner’s making his case as one of the best defenders across the NFL. In this play, he’s able to disengage from the Vikings’ lineman and chase down Cousins for a nine-yard loss on the play. Now, Buckner and fellow lineman Ronald Blair III team up for a sack, chasing Cousins out of the pocket and bringing him down immediately. The 49ers’ defenders were effective in making Cousins antsy in the pocket and then bringing him down before he could take off and run.Now in the red zone, Buckner and Armstead line up on the right side of the defense and stuff Cook for only a two-yard gain. While Buckner is still being held by the Vikings’ offensive lineman, he’s able to hold onto Cook until the rest of the troops arrive. Here is Armstead’s most impressive play of Sunday afternoon, being blocked by Minnesota tight end Kyle Rudolph and bringing down Cook for a one-yard loss on the play. Armstead routinely displayed this strength in the preseason, but it hasn’t translated well into the regular season — until now.The former Oregon first-round pick is able to disengage from the Vikings’ offensive lineman and take down Cook for a one-yard loss on the play. This is what 49ers’ fans expect more of from Armstead moving forward this season. Unfortunately, this is the play that most 49ers’ fans are going to remember from Thomas. While it didn’t cost the 49ers the game, it was a mental error that should not have happened. Everyone in the stadium and at home knew Cousins was not snapping the ball, yet Thomas (and Armstead) fell for the hard count. The 49ers’ brain trust invested three first-round picks into the defensive line, hoping for returns such as Sunday’s performance. While the Vikings’ offensive line was beat up and in-experienced, it was a strong outing from Buckner and Armstead in particular. Thomas had his problems, but if the 49ers’ run defense and pass rush is to find any success in 2018, it’s going to have be catalyzed from those three players.

The New York Giants were back to practice Sunday afternoon. They players took Saturday to recover — and get treatment if necessary — following their preseason game against the Detroit Lions. The coaches B.J. Hill Jersey , meanwhile used Saturday to break down and evaluate the tape from Friday night’s game. The team had a “quick, light practice” without pads as they look to address the mistakes made against the Lions before turning their sights toward the New York Jets on Friday. Whether or not the Giants intended to make Sunday’s practice a lighter one, the grey, drizzly weather might have influenced the decision. It was back to the field for the Giants, even if it was a slightly soggy field. For the first time in camp, the Giants introduced “crowd noise” into practice. Perhaps to get them ready for their annual game against the Jets, in which the intra-city rivalry is played out. And, of course, Odell Beckham Jr. warmed up in his customary fashion. In one potential change coming from the Lions’ game, second team inside linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong was spotted playing with the first team on Sunday. Armstrong has played well for the Giants in practice and has showed off his range against the Lions and the Cleveland Browns. His range in coverage could help deal with running backs and tight ends while Alec Ogletree puts his ability as a blitzer to use.On the offensive side of the ball, Jonathan Stewart is the starting running back — despite strong play from Wayne Gallman. Shurmur said that the team would adapt and adjust to the injuries at the running back position, and part of doing so was to use Kaliff Raymond as a runner with the third team offense. Fullback Shane Smith was also used as a running back.In the passing game, Eli Manning was reportedly sharp throughout practices in Detroit and has apparently carried that through to Sunday’s practice. Personnel notesSaquon Barkley, Connor Barwin, and Darian Thompson remain out. They’re joined by Jalen Simmons (concussion), Thurston Armbrister, and Calvin Munson (concussion).Donte Deayon, Travis Rudolph, and Ryan O’Malley are back at practice.Fantasy Football: Last-minute Week 3 start/sit advice The fantasy season keeps chugging along. With two weeks in the books, we’ve got an idea how these players are going to be used and we’re starting to get an idea of what the defensive matchups are going to be. While a lot can change over the course of the season — and it will — we’re getting useful information for future fantasy decisions. Here’s some last-minute start/sit advice for Week 3:Running backStart: David Johnson, Arizona CardinalsOk, so there’s a lot going on here. First, is one thing I’ve failed to mention over the past couple weeks as a policy I try to follow: start your studs. Johnson, despite his usage and production so far, is still a stud. So if you used a top-3 pick on Johnson Authentic Saquon Barkley Jersey , you’re obviously worried through two weeks, but Johnson is (hopefully) talented enough to succeed despite the offense so far and there’s hope maybe they’ll start using him in a way that makes sense for arguably the most dynamic running back in the league.Start: Matt Breida, San Francisco 49ersIn the San Francisco running back committee, Breida is more of the passing down back and gets more run when the team is trailing. Well, the 49ers play the Kansas City Chiefs this week, who have scored at will to start the season. San Francisco will likely be scored on a bit and will have to throw in order to catch up. Add in that the Kansas City defense has been the worst in the league against running backs in the passing game. That’s a much better game script for Breida than Alfred MorrisSit: Derrick Henry, Tennessee TitansThere was a stretch against the Houston Texans in Week 2 when Henry lined up as a Wildcat quarterback for three straight plays. That might have been a better option than whatever Blaine Gabbert gave them at quarterback. The Titans are either going to roll out Gabbert again or a not 100 percent Marcus Mariota. Either way, that’s a bad recipe against the Jacksonville Jaguars. 23 of Henry’s 27 carries this season have come when the Titans are leading or tied. There are not going to be many plays against Jacksonville when Tennessee is leading or tied. This should definitely be a Dion Lewis game for the Titans, unless they just throw Henry at quarterback again.Sit: Jamaal Williams, Green Bay PackersWilliams was a “start” here for the first two weeks because he was in a perfect situation. He was a running back who was going to be in on passing downs on a great offense. But the production never really came, even though the playing time did. Now the Green Bay backfield will add Aaron Jones, who is coming back from suspension. We don’t know how much Jones will play, but it’s likely going to be enough to limit Williams’s snap count and without production when he was getting that time on the field, it’s hard to see a path for Williams to be fantasy relevant.Wide receiverStart: Will Fuller, Houston TexansFuller isn’t the best wide receiver on the Texans, that’s unquestionably DeAndre Hopkins, but Fuller might be the receiver who makes Deshaun Watson the most comfortable. With Fuller added to the lineup in Week 2, Watson went deep a little more often and found the receiver for eight receptions, 113 yards, and a touchdown on nine targets. The Giants are third in DVOA against No. 2 wide receivers through two weeks, but that’s been from Eli Apple. With Apple likely out, Fuller should see a lot of B.W. Webb and Donte Deayon, which favors the receiver down the field.Start: DeSean Jackson, Tampa Bay BuccaneersYou’re probably riding this Ryan Fitzpatrick-DeSean Jackson train until it breaks down or reaches the part of the track where the rest hasn’t been built yet and should have never been on that part of the track anyway. Jackson only has nine receptions this season, but he leads the NFL is receiving yards through two weeks. No player is getting targeted further down the field http://www.newyorkgiantsteamonline.com/saquon-barkley-jersey , on average. The good news is the Buccaneers are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, who have struggled on defense and can allow a big play or three. Sit: Kelvin Benjamin, Buffalo BillsOpportunity is king in fantasy football and Benjamin is going to get that as the No. 1 receiver in Buffalo, but the quality of that opportunity might be so bad, it’s not worth chasing. There are few positive things to say about the Bills offense through two weeks and they are set to face a Minnesota Vikings defense that’s quite good. It can be hard doing these sits because I don’t know what your roster looks like and I never want to assume you have better options — but you most definitely have better options.Sit: Mike Williams, Los Angeles ChargersWilliams broke through with a score last week against the Bills, but it’s hard to see that coming again this week. The Chargers will face the Rams, who might have the best cornerback duo in the league right now. The Rams are only allowing 5.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers as a group — not per wide receiver鈥?collectively. Through two weeks the Rams have only allowed 98 yards to opposing wide receivers total. The second-best team, the Giants (what?), have allowed 191 yards to wide receivers. Stay very far away from this matchup.Tight endStart: George Kittle, San Francisco 49ersDon’t let the disappointment of a two-catch, 22-yard day in Week 2 put you off from Kittle. He’s still seeing 24.7 percent of San Francisco’s air yards, which is fourth among tight ends behind Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, and Travis Kelce. As we noted before, the 49ers are probably going to have to pass a bit to catch up on Sunday and it helps that the Chiefs have been one of the worst team in the league so far defending tight ends, allowing 100.5 yards per game to the position and the second-most fantasy points. The big game for Kittle is coming.Sit: Ricky Seals-Jones, Arizona CardinalsArizona’s offense is a mess and while you’re holding out hope Johnson can overcome, it’s not as simple for the other parts. Seals-Jones has gotten six targets in each of the first two games, but has 36 receiving yards total. That’s what happens when the offense is built around short, ineffective passes. Seals-Jones is going up against a Chicago Bears defense that is first in DVOA against tight ends through two weeks. With so many more streamable options at tight end, it’s easy to take a pass on Seals-Jones even when his talent and role should be producing more than it has.

Starting cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick hurt his right shoulder. The Browns lost Pro Bowl rookie cornerback Denzel Ward to an apparent shoulder injury. For the Falcons, running back Tevin Coleman left with a groin injury in the second half and did not return with Atlanta leading Carolina by two scores. Panthers Pro Bowl guard Trai Turner left with an ankle injury in Carolina’s loss, which ended its slim playoff chances. The San Francisco 49ers had four players leave their loss to the NFC North champion Chicago Bears with injuries: running back Matt Breida (ankle), wide receiver Dante Pettis (left knee), tight end Garrett Celek (concussion) and cornerback K’Waun Williams (knee). The Patriots are returning to work after a bye week and quarterback Tom Brady said he spent the time off going through the first 10 games of the year.Brady said on WEEI that he watched “the entire season a couple of times” and found that “some weeks it has been easier than others” to move the ball and put points on the board. Brady didn’t delve into the things he believes lead to those results, but he did make it clear that he thinks things go better when tight end Rob Gronkowski can play.Gronkowski has missed three of the last four games due to back and ankle injuries and there was a report on Sunday that he’s on track to play against the Jets. Brady doesn’t know if that’s how things will play out, but knows he’d like to have him on the field.“We’ll see. I don’t know. Wel see how it goes Duke Dawson Jersey ,

This seems like the year the Browns finally return to respectability Youth Nick Chubb Jersey , if not the year they actually win. With all of the roster additions and Hard Knocks exposure, there is a lot to get excited about. So without further adieu, here are the top 5 things I am excited about as we enter the regular season1. Todd Haley and the new-look offenseWe’ve seen some success in the running game when we have made it a focus, we’ve seen RPOs, we’ve seen no-huddle, uptempo offense. We’ve seen pick routes for Jarvis Landry, seam routes for David Njoku, and back-shoulder fades to anyone who can catch them. While it’s hard to predict exactly what the week 1 offense will look like, all of the elements for an intelligent, contemporary offense are there. An perhaps most importantly, we aren’t seeing a clearly overwhelmed head coach try to manage the game and call plays from the sideline at the same time.2. Myles Damn GarrettI tried to make all 5 things, things. As in; “not individual players.” But I cannot contain my excitement about Myles Garrett. The only thing that can derail him at this point is injury. He’s already a force to be reckoned with, and he’s on his way to being one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. This is exactly what we were hoping for when we drafted him last year. If Myles continues to improve his technique to go along with his incredible blend of speed, agility, and power, he is going to be unblockable. 3. Rookie DefendersDenzel Ward showed flashes during the preseason, despite injuring his back. He’ll take a few lumps, as many rookie corners do. But he’ll also be our best corner from the first snap of the year. And when he starts to put it together, look out. Ward’s burst and willingness to come up and hit were on display during the preseason, and I am excited to see what he can do against the best of the best. But we had all heard of Ward before the draft. Someone who was an under-the-radar pick has been a surprise this preseason, and that someone is LB Genard Avery. Avery is a linebacker, but has also been lined up as a stand-up end in Gregg Williams’ defense, where he has shown off some nice burst and rush moves. His athleticism White Seth DeValve Jersey , hustle, and size were really eye-popping in the preseason, and I hope we continue to work him onto the field despite being a 4-3 team with 3 good linebackers in front of him. On this play, watch as Avery is lined up toward the bottom of the screen as a stand-up DE. Instead of rushing the passer, he drops into coverage on the TE as a blitz comes from the other side of the formation. Avery successfully walls off the TE, passes him to the safety, and then pursues scrambling QB AJ McCarron all the way toward the opposite sideline. Coverage, hustle, and closing speed:4. The Development of Young PlayersJabril Peppers, Brien Boddy Calhoun, David Njoku, Larry Ogunjobi, and Rashard Higgins all look like players ready to break out. After years of seeing talented young players make their way onto the Browns only to underperform, is this the year that several guys put it together?Peppers looks more comfortable in a strong safety role after playing as the “Angel” all year last year. He looks to be playing with more confidence and instinct in year 2. Someone is going to need to create penetration in the backfield and catch quarterbacks as they try to escape Myles Garrett and Ogunjobi showed flashes of becoming a 3 tech penetrator in the preseason. Everyone expects Njoku to break out as a seam-stretching TE, but Higgins has really impressed me with his continued improvement. Billed as a guy who was maybe “maxed out” in college, Higgins has somehow developed chemistry with both Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield, demonstrating a knack for making plays despite his limited athleticism. If a handful of players in year 2 or 3 can step up and even become “middle class” players for the Browns, it will be a welcome sight.5. Competent QB PlayHere are DeShone Kizer’s red zone numbers from last year: 14 of 42 (33.3%) for 105 yards (2.5 yards per attempt) for 8TD, 6 INT, and 2 fumbles. If we just improve on those numbers a little bit, it would be hard not to win a few games this year. Thankfully, we should blow last year’s quarterback play out of the water.Tyrod TaylorTyrod Taylor has been exactly what the Browns have needed as a “bridge QB”. He’s a calm, low-key guy who shows up every day ready to grind. He’s not the most rah-rah guy White JC Tretter Jersey , but he has led the Browns by example all offseason, and he’s ready to lead them on the field. Whether you think he hit his ceiling in Buffalo or that he was overly conservative out of necessity, he’s still going to be a huge improvement.Baker MayfieldThere have been a few things that haven’t surprised me about Baker Mayfield, starting with his deep ball accuracy. Despite only connecting on 57.4% of his passes this preseason, Baker has thrown for 8.2 yards per attempt. Meaning when he did connect Baker wasn’t just dumping it off. But Baker has always been an accurate deep passer, so that shouldn’t be surprising. What has been surprising to me has been the way Baker has adjusted to the NFL game. He can already be seen at the line of scrimmage making calls, checks, and signals, changing the direction of runs and commanding the offense. His pocket presence and ability to move around to buy time to deliver the ball, or escape the pocket and pick up a first down has also felt very advanced for this stage of his career. Moving forward, Baker will need to connect on a few more checkdowns in order to get that completion percentage up and to turn sacks or throwaways into gains of 2-5 yards. But he’s off to a great start. What do you think? So, Browns fans, should we be excited as we enter the regular season? Is this really the year the Browns turn things around, or will we be waiting for next year by week 4? Who or what are you excited about? Discuss in the comments below.Browns vs. Bills Final Score: Penalties, special teams lapses cripple Cleveland in 19-17 loss The Cleveland Browns lost their first home preseason game 19-17 to the Buffalo Bills. The Browns took an early 7-0 lead on their first possession, racking up 63 yards on the ground. Carlos Hyde flashed several big runs, including this highlight reel stiff-arm of former Browns safety Jordan Poyer.Hyde capped the drive with a 4-yard touchdown run, sprung by beautiful blocks by receivers Rashard Higgins and Jarvis Landry. After Browns starters forced four consecutive three-and-outs by the Bills’ first-team offense, rookie Josh Allen entered the game and methodically moved his team down the field into scoring position. On 3rd-and-goal, Allen evaded pressure and stepped into the pocket, then delivered a strike touchdown to receiver Rod Streater with defensive back Briean Boddy-Calhoun trailing in coverage. After trading field goals in the third quarter, Rookie running back Nick Chubb broke a nice outside run with rookie guard Austin Corbett pulling and leading the way.Chubb got rewarded with a short touchdown run on 3rd-and-goal just one play after Mayfield’s touchdown throw to Derrick Willies was overturned.Chubb’s touchdown gave the Browns a 17-13 lead with 12:33 left in the game. The Bills answered, though http://www.authenticsclevelandbrowns.com/cheap-joel-bitonio-jersey , on their next possession. It was determined to not be reviewable.Buffalo maintained possession and sealed their victory by running out the final five-plus minutes of the clock, helped by a roughing the passer penalty by Zaycoven Henderson on 3rd-and-long with 1:51 to play.Mayfield also had another touchdown to Willies negated in the third quarter due to an offensive pass interference penalty. The Browns were flagged for OPI three times on Friday night.Quick HittersTyrod Taylor: 4-of-7, 22 yards; 1 rush, 5 yardsCarlos Hyde: 9 rushes, 64 yards, and 1 touchdown; 1 catch, -5 yards (1 target)Jarvis Landry: no catches (2 targets)Rashard Higgins: 2 catches, 20 yards (3 targets)Baker Mayfield: 7-of-13, 75 yards, no touchdowns; 4 rushes, 9 yardsNick Chubb: 11 rushes, 53 yards, 1 touchdown; 2 catches, 0 yards (2 targets)Da’Mari Scott: 2 catches, 31 yards (2 targets)Damion Ratley: 2 catches, 18 yards (2 targets) Custom Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys
